Honor life, protect earth

We are a nonprofit that’s changing the conversation around death through living memorials and the forests we protect forever.

Our Commitments

We help people navigate loss, with nature as their guide—offering meaningful memorials and compassionate grief support, while caring for the earth.

Living Memorials

Nature-based remembrance spaces that honor lives with dignity.

Grief Support

Guidance and community through the journey of loss and healing.

Forest Stewardship

Protecting forests and natural habitats for future generations.

How we started

Since Better Place Forests was founded in 2015, we’ve been driven by one ambitious goal: transforming the way people navigate loss through nature.

Every day, we make impact by expanding our nature-based programs, grief support services, and conservation initiatives.

With the help of our community, partners, and supporters, we’re helping create a future where everyone can find solace in nature—both now and for generations to come.
